Information Technology Academy welcomes Mary Kay Kasten Dickinson

Information Technology Academy (ITA) is pleased to welcome Mary Kay Kasten Dickinson as a new ITA instructor.

Mary Kay comes to us with over 15 years of experience as a library specialist and teacher. Most recently, she was the library director at the Hartford JT1 School District, where she was responsible for the administration and operations of the district’s library and media centers and their programs. She is also a member of the Lac Vieux Desert band of Lake Superior Chippewa.

Mary Kay enjoys knitting so much that she began knitting warm cozy socks for cancer patients at the Froedtert Cancer Center in West Bend, under the name “Comfy & Courageous.” She also learned crochet and is working on baby afghans to gift to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Chicago. Mary Kay also identifies as a reader and when she’s not at work, “books are my constant companion,” she says. “My favorite quote is from my lifelong companion Winnie the Pooh: ‘Life is a journey to be experienced, Not a problem to be solved.’”

Please join us in welcoming Mary Kay to the ITA team!
