Empower Wisconsin students for tomorrow’s future
Through a triple focus on technology exploration, leadership development, and college preparation, Information Technology Academy (ITA) offers Wisconsin high school students the skills, resources and support needed to become strong candidates for admission to the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
At ITA, we love our students and believe in their ability to achieve their goals and dreams. Each year, we proudly work with approximately 210 diverse high school students from the Lac du Flambeau, Madison, and Oneida communities, focusing on supporting low-income and potential first-generation learners.
We could not do this important work without our sponsorship partners. With your help, we are able to host field trips and purchase technology for students to use in our program.

ITA Scholars
ITA costs are approximately $5000 per student annually. A supporter could sponsor an ITA scholar for 1-4 years of their ITA experience.
- Cost $5,000 per year
- $20,000 over four years
Individual session sponsorship
ITA hosts students on Saturdays in Madison and at weekend cohort sessions in Lac du Flambeau and Oneida. A supporter may sponsor meals for an individual session or multiple sessions.
- Cost $1,200 per session
ITA Graduation
ITA celebrates the success of program graduates at a ceremony every June and we welcome a named sponsor for the luncheon.
- Cost $3,500
Senior Residential Experience
Each summer, ITA brings our rising seniors to campus to experience living in a residence hall on the UW-Madison campus and engage in learning opportunities that prepare them for college, as well as expanding their knowledge of information technology. There are multiple opportunities for sponsorships for this event from meals, housing, and field trips.
- Cost $1,000 to $20,000
Laptops
Each year, we purchase and loan laptops to our students to use during their ITA experience. These laptops are imaged with UW-Madison licensed software that they will learn to use during their time in the program. This is the biggest single purchase the program makes each year at approximately $70,000. A sponsor could fund a set of laptops to help us alleviate this major purchase.
- Cost up to $70,000

Current Donors
We love our donors! We are grateful to those who make a long-term investment in education. Together, we are empowering brilliant and motivated youth, by providing them the necessary tools to continue with their high school education and advance to higher education.
- Over 95% of ITA graduates were admitted to a post-secondary education institution.
- From those, 53% are accepted and enroll at UW–Madison and are inducted to PEOPLE as PEOPLE Scholars.
With your help, ITA plans to expand our program to benefit even more qualified Wisconsin students.
