Rosee Xiong, a 2017 graduate of Information Technology Academy (ITA) program, was profiled as part of a new UW-Madison series, “Brand New Badger,” which spotlights notable new students on campus.
Upon completion of the four-year academic and technology precollege program, not only did Rosee graduate in June 2017, but also, she earned the highest recognition. ITA honored Rosee with the 2017 Legacy of Excellence Award for her scholarship, leadership, personal growth, and commitment to the program.
Rosee, a first-generation Hmong American, was thrilled to gain acceptance to UW-Madison and take advantage of the full-tuition scholarship and continued academic support offered to her as a Scholar in the Pre-College Enrichment Opportunity Program (PEOPLE program).
We congratulate Rosee and hope she has a great first semester on campus.
