ITA Students Receive Recognition from Urban League of Greater Madison

This January, the Urban League of Greater Madison (ULGM) recognized the accomplishments of two Information Technology Academy (ITA) Madison students.

Cynthia Maduka, a senior at East High School, was awarded the 2016 Betty Franklin-Hammonds Memorial Scholarship.  The scholarship, created in honor of one of Madison’s most inspirational leaders, rewards the accomplishments of graduating seniors who have overcome economic and social obstacles and plan to pursue higher education. Cynthia’s journey and inspiration was highlighted in a recent Wisconsin State Journal article.

In addition, Mya Berry, a junior in the ITA Madison program, received an Outstanding Young Person Award from ULGM. Students across Dane County were nominated for this award based on their academic performance, community service and extra-curricular participation.

DoIT Academic Technology congratulates Cynthia, Mya and all ITA students on their hard work and dedication to pursuing the road to higher education!
