The Urban League of Greater Madison Young Professionals honored the Information Technology Academy (ITA) at its Third Annual Emerge Gala on April 30, 2016. The Emerge Gala recognizes outstanding young professional leaders and their contributions to the community. This year, ITA was selected to receive a portion of the event benefits.
ITA Executive Director, Dr. Ron Jetty, took to the stage to share more about the program and to thank the supporters for their generous donation. Dr. Jetty joined other community leaders recognized at the event, including Dr. Dawn Crim, UW-Madison School of Education’s Associate Dean for External Relations, who received an Impact Award. Sponsors included the Quarles and Brady, LLP, the UW-Madison School of Education, and the UW Health and Unity Health Insurance, among others.
This award follows a recent successful collaboration at an ITA Madison Saturday session, in which the Urban League of Greater Madison Young Professionals helped facilitate mock interviews for ITA Madison students. ITA is grateful for the recognition and will continue to further opportunities for diverse youth in the Greater Madison communities and across Wisconsin.
